We are pleased to announce Positive Change for Marine Life’s programs in India are now supported by The Intrepid Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of Intrepid Travel.

Introducing Intrepid Travel and The Intrepid Foundation

Intrepid Travel is also the first tour operator with near-term science-based climate targets through the Science Based Targets Initiative, and its not-for-profit, The Intrepid Foundation, has raised more than $13 million for more than 135 partners.

The Purpose of Our Partnership

Our collaborative efforts with The Intrepid Foundation aim to address critical challenges in southern Kerala, India, focusing on sustainable solutions and conservation-driven initiatives. Here’s a glimpse of the projects we’ll be working on together:

  • Waste Management Solutions: Through The Intrepid Foundation’s support, PCFML will deliver waste management solutions and opportunities for coastal communities in southern Kerala. We believe that effective waste management is essential for the health of our oceans.
  • Fisheries Monitoring: PCFML will track and monitor fisheries catch data and trends, ultimately leading to a locally-led marine area in southern Kerala. This initiative will help safeguard marine ecosystems and ensure the sustainability of fisheries.
  • Mangrove Restoration: Our partnership will also focus on restoring and rewilding blue forests within southern Kerala’s Poovar and Kollam areas. Mangroves play a crucial role in coastal ecosystems, and our “Rewilding our Floodplains Program” will contribute to their conservation.
