MangroveWatch Training Day
Join us in Brunswick Heads for an immersive workshop led by Jock Mackenzie from Earthwatch Australia and MangroveWatch. Participants will receive the training required to participate in our upcoming wetland surveys.

This program is great for anyone interested in:
Learning about mangroves and tidal wetlands in your region
Discovering the many benefits tidal wetlands provide to our ecology
Monitoring changes to shorelines and river estuary health
Helping with surveys of estuary and coastline condition
Joining a living shoreline rehabilitation team.
Getting advice and training on tidal wetland and coastal habitats from experts.

Schedule
8:00 am – Meet at Brunswick Heads Community Centre. 42 S Beach Rd, Brunswick Heads NSW 2483 for a methods and safety briefing.
8:15 am -10:00 am Theory Session
10/11:00 am Travel to Brunswick Heads Boat Harbour and Marina for boat-assisted mangrove training and survey.
11-2/3pm MangroveWatch Training via boat on the Brunswick River
*Times are based on the number of attendees as there are 5 spaces on the boat.
What to bring
Enclosed shoes, water bottle, sun-safe clothes, snacks and lunch.
Important To Note:
This training workshop has limited capacity. We ask that you only register if you can commit to assisting us with annual surveys of the Bruns.
We plan to complete this year’s surveys over September – October, notice will be given to participants for exact survey dates.
There will be a $20 donation fee for this workshop.
