PCFML is a community-centred organisation working at the intersection of ocean health, livelihoods, and climate resilience.
We operate in places defined by complexity, not convenience. These are fragile frontline communities where vulnerability is high and external support is scarce. These regions are underfunded, overlooked by mainstream philanthropy, and often bypassed by larger international organisations. In contexts where governance is complex, trust must be earned over time, and cultural fluency matters as much as technical expertise.
Our work focuses on high-need ecosystems facing immediate climate and livelihood pressures. We operate where there is limited capacity, and where deeply embedded organisations are often the only ones capable of creating real, lasting change. This is patient, relational work that prioritises Indigenous leadership, community ownership, and long-term outcomes over short-term visibility.
We choose depth over scale. Rather than pursuing growth for its own sake, we focus on quality, durability, and locally led impact.
We partner with funders who value integrity, substance, and sustained impact, and who understand that meaningful systems change in overlooked places requires patience, trust, and long-term partnership.
This is our value.
This is our identity.
