Community & Partnerships Coordinator

Lucy is an ocean enthusiast, an adventurer, and a core part of the PCFML team!

She received a rowing scholarship to study Communications at the University of California, Los Angeles and, during her studies she developed a passion for protecting the ocean while volunteering with Surfrider Foundation and the UCLA Rowing Team. Lucy has also spent time in the Philippines volunteering with ‘The Sun Crew’ Foundation helping local youth understand the importance of ocean conservation through beach clean-ups and conversations while surfing.

Lucy has a professional background in Digital Marketing and Community Engagement and is excited to continue to grow and strengthen PCFML’s global partnerships, on-ground community programs, as well as our online supporter journeys through story-telling, events, and captivating content. After returning from the US, Lucy moved to the Northern Rivers and lives just steps away from our restoration site on the Brunswick River in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.

Outside of her work with PCFML, she spends her weekends as an Eco Mentor for TRIBES Adventure Company, where she offers personalised support to individuals in need, including at-risk youth, people with disabilities and those facing mental health challenges. Her approach integrates eco-therapy, survival skills training, and adventure tourism activities to create transformative experiences for participants.

Lucy is passionate about building partnerships both within the Byron Shire, across Australia, and internationally with people who care about our one, shared ocean, and want to actively contribute to restoring, protecting, and conserving it.

Our global programs need your support, help us make positive change for people and planet.
