PCFML India Team Coordinator & Rewilding our Floodplains Program Officer
Libin grew up in Trivandrum, India. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Post Graduate Degree in Counseling, and a Master of Arts in Sociology. His academic achievements have led him to conduct several social science research projects throughout India. Most recently, Libin worked with WWF to collect qualitative data for “Addressing Coastal Erosion in Kerala with a focus on Shanghumugham Beach”.
He was introduced to Positive Change for Marine Life while working on his coastal erosion research. Libin got to know the PCFML team and the community members we work with while he assisted in the setup of our fisheries monitoring program. Over a few days, Libin realised how fundamentally coastal communities are impacted by marine ecosystem destruction.
Libin was prompted to join PCFML full-time because he was inspired by our ability to improve livelihoods through conservation. Libin is motivated to work with PCFML to support local communities while simultaneously restoring their ocean ecosystems.
