After the enormous success of our River Warriors Talle Creek surveys and community outreach programs, we are wrapping up Phase II of the program with an on-water community clean-up and education program.
Over the course of our 24 baseline surveys, our team collected an astounding 23,000 pieces of marine debris, weighing in at over 1.5 tonnes and scoring the creek an F+ on our pilot Report Card! Come along and find out more about our Report Card, community engagement programs and our work to mitigate marine debris in Talle Creek at its source, alongside a range of local community groups and stakeholders.
We will meet at 11am in Tallebudgera Beach Park (near the GC Highway overpass) Palm Beach. You can park in the carpark adjacent to the park.
There are 15 double kayaks available for a donation of just $20 per kayak, or BYO non-motorised watercraft.
You can register to come with your own watercraft or sign up for a kayak here.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
