Festival for the Seas 2018 at Byron Bay Brewery

On 25th August, Positive Change for Marine Life collaborated with local marine conservation organisations and the Byron Bay community to raise awareness for our mother ocean. The event was called Festival For The Seas and took place at the funky Byron Bay Brewery.

Kick starting the day at 11am with a beach clean at Main beach, Byron Bay. PCFML ran a beach survey with over 40 local people who all came together to help clean around our ocean, and were rewarded with a free delicious burger back at the Brewery. Yum! At 2pm the Festival began and was jam packed with fun events.

There were raffles, live art, guest speakers, stalls, karma kegs, free face painting for the little ones and live music. We danced, we laughed and raised funds for Apex Harmony and the Australian Seabird Rescue. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a special event and to help support other marine conservation organisations.

We are already looking forward to next year’s event. Thank you for having us Byron Bay Brewery!
