I grew up in Ballina NSW and I believe the Northern Rivers has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I remember as a child, I’d always tag along while my Dad went fishing. I loved exploring rock pools and seeing the fish that he would catch.

After completing my Bachelor of Environmental Science, it made me realise how unsustainable we as humans live. And even though we live on land, our ocean is suffering. Going back to university to study a Master of Marine Science was an easy decision. I want to learn more about how we can help reverse the damage we have caused to our ocean.

Joining Positive Change for Marine Life has been a rewarding experience as I have met many like-minded people. I believe the key to helping the ocean is creating awareness. Once we are aware of how the little things we do on a daily basis affects the ocean, we can all make little changes in our lives to be a part of the solution.
