School Holiday Educational Workshop in Byron

Saturday 8th of July was a day for kids in Byron. The first school holiday workshop of Plastic Free July turned out to be a great success! Thanks to all who came down to enjoy the day.

Being the first weekend of plastic free July, the children learnt about issues that face our ocean and how we can all reduce our consumption of single-use plastic. The day included a beach cleanup, live music, educational/interactive talks, and children made their own candle holders from recycled materials.

For all those who missed it we will be holding another workshop this Saturday the 15th at Main Beach Byron Bay from 10am until 1pm. For all those ocean loving kids out there (between 5 -12 years old) make sure you purchase tickets from the link below. Let's keep raising awareness for Plastic Free July...reduce, reuse, recycle!
